Connecting Point Christian Academy joined the country's nutrition month celebration on the 29th of July 2016 with the theme "First 1000 days ni baby, pahalagahan para sa malusog na kinabukasan." This means that we should give importance in taking care and nourishing a young child's first 1000 days for it shall be beneficial in a child's health in the future. In celebration, the school also held a contest "Mr. and Ms. Nutrition" who shall be the image of who can embody good health practices and stand as a good example to their classmates when it comes to taking care of their bodies. For we are the vessel of God's spirit, we must take care and cherish the bodies given to us by God. Students and their teachers paraded around the barangay (town) with banners and music proclaiming the theme. The celebration ended up with a simple program of students presenting the theme to their parents guests through song and dance and awarding of winners. |
